We utilize the latest technology, and offer a variety of treatment options to give you the customized, individual care you deserve, and you see one orthodontist throughout your entire treatment for better consistency and continuity of care.
Although many pediatric dentists and dentists can and do make referrals to orthodontists for specific reasons, you do not need a referral to see an orthodontist. Anyone can come see us without needing a referral! All you need to do is call or text us at (804) 256-2808, email us, or submit our online form to set up a new patient consultation appointment.
Every smile starts with an initial consultation!
Your new patient exam and any growth observation appointments are fun and easy (and free)! Your initial consultation will give you the opportunity to meet our team, learn more about orthodontics, receive a complete initial exam, and find out which treatment options will best meet your needs.
During your initial consultation, we will:
- Review your dental and medical history
- Take some photos, get a close look at your teeth and bite, and obtain one or two x-rays to evaluate your teeth, bite, and growth
- Create a customized treatment plan
- Discuss all financial information, insurance options, and payment plans
Our team will be glad to answer any questions you may have, and we will provide all the information you need to determine which treatment is right for you.
What happens after the initial consultation?
You’re one step closer to achieving the smile you’ve always wanted! After your consultation, we will schedule your first appointment depending on your needs. Whether it be to get braces, Invisalign®, retainers, whitening, or simply come back in 6 months for growth observation, we will get you squared away!
Scheduling Appointments
Visiting our office about every 6 to 8 weeks is an essential part of your orthodontic treatment. For Invisalign® treatment, we typically see patients every 6 to 12 weeks and can schedule virtual appointments throughout the course of your treatment, depending on your scheduling needs.
Our practice will work with you to make sure your appointments are as convenient as possible. When scheduling appointments, please let us know which days and times work best for you.
We understand that “life happens”! If you’re running late or need to reschedule, please let us know as soon as possible. We will do everything we can to accommodate you, and if your appointment needs to be rescheduled, we will get you in as soon as possible.
Visiting the dentist during orthodontic treatment
It is super important that you continue to visit your family dentist once every 6 months, even during your orthodontic treatment, for teeth cleanings and routine dental checkups. If extra dental care is needed, we will be happy to coordinate with your family dentist to make sure you receive the best possible care.
